Every session includes pre-shoot outfit guidance, creative direction, full use of both floors of our natural light studio at 219 River Valley Road, and a curated selection session after the shoot to choose your favourite images. Complimentary coffee, tea, and Wi-Fi are provided in our dedicated guest lounge.

Most family sessions run around one and a half to two hours. This allows time to move through both floors of the studio, try different groupings, and capture candid moments alongside portraits.

Yes. Our 2,400 square foot studio regularly hosts families of up to 40 people. We have extensive experience photographing multi-generational families including grandparents, adult children, toddlers, and newborns in the same session.

We send personalised outfit guidance before every session. In general, coordinated colours work well — not matching outfits, but complementary tones. Comfortable clothing that reflects who your family actually is photographs better than formal attire. We have a changing room and vanity space at the studio.

Yes. We have photographed thousands of sessions with babies, toddlers, and young children. Our photographers are experienced at working at a child’s pace — patient, playful, and trained to capture genuine expressions rather than posed smiles.

White Room Studio is at 219 River Valley Road, Level 2 and 3, Singapore 238277. We are a five-minute walk from Fort Canning MRT and accessible by bus along River Valley Road. Parking is available at UE Square and along River Valley Road.

Our primary sessions take place at our 219 River Valley Road studio. We also photograph on the studio’s balcony, which overlooks Fort Canning’s greenery and is a favourite location for natural light family portraits. Please contact us to discuss outdoor options.

Yes. Many families combine a family portrait session with a graduation portrait session on the same day. This is one of our most popular bookings — the graduate in gown with parents and siblings, followed by a relaxed family portrait across both floors. Our studio is on Level 2 of a conserved 1927 Peranakan shophouse, reached by a flight of stairs — there is no lift, so we’re unfortunately not wheelchair-accessible. Most grandparents manage the stairs comfortably at their own pace, and our team is always at hand to assist. Once upstairs, everything is on one level per floor.

Yes — comfort is something we’ve refined over 17 years of multi-generation shoots. The studio is fully air-conditioned, with several seating areas across both floors — including a lounge and our collection area — where grandparents can rest between shots. Our photographers pace the session around the family, never the clock. Many of our most treasured portraits are three-generation photographs with grandparents at the centre.

Up to 40 — our 2,400 sq ft across two floors of natural-light spaces comfortably fits large extended families, with different backdrops (the Peranakan corner, European archway, classic windows) for varied group combinations.

Yes — there are two vanity rooms, one on each floor, for hair and makeup touch-ups and outfit changes. During the session, you’ll also review selected images on a large screen with our creative consultant, so you know exactly what you’re getting before you leave.
