When Alison was young, her uncle gave her a SLR camera and since then, she fell in love with the world of photography. Fast forward to today, Alison is the studio’s creative consultant with more than 10 years of experience, guiding clients through their viewing appointment, walking them through their photographs and helping them decide on sizes, framing and albums with no hard sell.
She also personally oversees the creation of every album, ensuring every single picture and page is personalised to the client’s satisfaction. With her incredible attention to detail, she transforms pictures into bespoke, high-quality fine art albums that document client’s milestones, perfect as a precious heirloom that can be passed from generation to generation, capturing a little of the fabric that makes up a client’s family history.
Alison’s greatest satisfaction comes from witnessing clients’ delight when they see their photos and photo-album for the first time!

What happens during a viewing appointment?
I walk clients through every photo from their session, explain their options for sizes, framing, and albums, and help them figure out what actually fits their space and budget. There’s no pressure here, just guidance.
How do you help someone who’s overwhelmed by too many favourites?
It happens all the time. I get them to rank instead of eliminate, that’s a much easier place to start, and we work our way down together until the final choices feel obvious.
What detail do you always notice first?
Whether a client is drawn to a photo out of genuine emotion or just because it’s technically “good.” I try to help them choose the ones that will actually mean something years from now.
What’s the most satisfying part of your work?
Two moments, really: watching a client land on the choices that feel truly right for them, and later, watching them open their finished album for the first time.

Photo selection day: Private setting allowed us to look through our photos before we decide on which ones we liked. Alison was very detailed in explaining the various medium available and price point for those we may be keen in. She navigated through our photos, helping us rank our choices while we decide on the final few we really wanted.
